The Retreat in York

Right then – weekend's here and York's buzzing. We've got medieval treasures coming home, property deals worth millions, including The Retreat, and next weekend's Ice Trail lineup confirmed. Plus, there's wizard tourism in The Shambles, roadwork charges approved, and a landlord throwing darts for his baby son. Let's crack on.

💡
Saturday: Cloudy start with light rain through the morning, winds easing as the evening rolls in. Watch for fog patches developing overnight – proper murky stuff. Temps hovering around 5°C, so layer up if you're hitting the Residents' Festival museums or catching that MJ tribute at the Barbican.
💡
Sunday: Drier day with brighter spells breaking through, though you'll still get the odd shower sneaking in. Frost overnight into Monday morning, so mind the pavements on your way to Gyles Brandreth at 3pm. Perfect weather for wrapping up warm and making the most of the final day of Residents' Festival freebies.
