π ΏοΈ York City's promotion is creating a parking crisis - and BBC News has noticed - City of York councillors are calling for residential parking permits around the LNER Community Stadium following growing complaints about matchday parking blocking emergency vehicles and pavements in Huntington - and the story has made BBC News. Labour transport spokesperson Cllr Kate Ravilious confirmed ResPark permits are being considered - at Β£115 per year for the first car β implemented neighbourhood-wide. Residents previously rejected ResPark in 2022; the situation has since changed dramatically, with both York City's promotion to League Two and York Knights' Super League campaign bringing thousands more fans.
